Brilliant Productions, fronted by David Jenkins, produce and manage professional theatre productions around the UK. David is an active member of the RSA (Royal Society of Arts) and also co-founder of the Association of Creative Leaders (ACL).
Being involved in professional theatre from the age of 15, David has built a wealth of knowledge of the theatre industry.
Working with the company Grassroots (owned by Welsh playwright Frank Vickery) David has managed the tours of No1 venues throughout Wales and the South East with some of Vickery’s incredible plays including Tonto Evans, Kiss on the Bottom with Di Boucher, Spanish Lies, Granny Annie, One’o’Clock from the House, Sleeping with Mickey and All through the Night with Sue Rodrick.
David also toured for many years with OMTC Pantomimes throughout Wales, headed up by award winning Welsh Comedian Owen Money.
Moving to London, David had written and co-directed a number of productions and workshops including Frank Sinatra Life Through Music (Stoke On Trent Victoria Halls) Engaged (White Lion Theatre Theatre) and A Night with Peter Polycarpou (London’s Garrick Theatre).
David has also produced one of the first productions of The Wind in The Willows Musical in conjunction with Theatrical Rights, after its short time at The London Palladium. He also recently produced a brand new play called Written with Crayons at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 2019.
David also has a passion for offering the next generation theatrical opportunities of a life time and he does this through Brilliant Theatre Arts, a sister company which he also runs.
David works tirelessly with his team to provide professionally produced productions, cast with young adults. Recent productions up and down the UK include Bugsy Malone (Harlow Playhouse) Joseph and The Technicolor DreamCoat (Hertford Theatre) The Addams Family Musical (in partnership with Kings Lynn Corn Exchange) Legally Blonde (Radlett Centre) Chatroom (Old Town Hall), an original version of Beauty and The Beast with music written by British composers Nigel and Chris Passey, as well as Grease and We Will Rock You (The Alban Arena).
David’s newest project is a professional production of The Last Five Years at The Minnack Theatre September 15 – 19th 2020.
